Nika Radić (Zagreb, 1968.) hrvatska je vizualna umjetnica koja radi u medijima videa, fotografije i instalacije[1]. Živjela je i radila u Londonu, Torontu, Milanu, Beču i Berlinu.[2] Diplomirala je kiparstvo na Akademiji likovnih umjetnosti u Zagrebu te povijest umjetnosti na Sveučilištu u Beču.[3] Docentica je na Akademiji likovnih umjetnosti u Zagrebu. Živi i radi između Berlina i Zagreba.
Rad i praksa
Središnje pitanje Radićina rada jest komunikacija — načini na koje različite kulture i pojedinci tumače zajednička iskustva i kako se razumijevanje prenosi ili gubi u susretu s umjetničkim djelom.[4] Osobno iskustvo višejezičnosti i višekulturalnog života izravno je oblikovalo njezinu istraživačku perspektivu.[5]
U ranijim fazama svog rada istraživala je međukulturalnu komunikaciju i subjektivnost percipiranja javnog prostora (serije Other People's Windows, We Travel a Lot). Oko 2018. počela se intenzivno baviti hipnozom kao komunikacijskim i umjetničkim medijem, inspirirano praksom američkog psihijatra Miltona Ericksona.[3][4] U nizu performansa hipnotizirala je sudionike zamoljevši ih da vizualiziraju pozitivnu budućnost; velika većina vizualizirala je zelene prostore i prirodu, što je postalo polazištem novog ciklusa radova o biljnoj percepciji i urbanoj ekologiji.[6]
U recentnim projektima polazi od istraživanja biljne neurobiologije biologa Stefana Mancusa, propitujući moguće modele urbanog života usklađenije s prirodnim sustavima.[7]
Uz izlagačku praksu, objavljuje tekstove u međunarodnim knjigama i časopisima.[3]
