Cneorodideae se danas vodi kao jedna od četiri potporodice unutar porodice rutovki, kojih je tradicionalno bilo sedam. U Ovu potporodicu uklopljene su potporodice Spathelioideae Engl., Dictyolomatoideae Engl.č rod Harrisonia R. Br. ex A.
