| For showing examples of typographic symbols, using a box designed to look a bit like a metal sort. This is to replace many uses of parenthesis, quotes, etc. being used to show this, for consistent style and to avoid confusion as to what glyphs are actually part of the symbol.
After much discussion it was decided that it is preferable to use nothing around the character, or {{angbr}}. This template should only be used when it is necessary to clearly show what part of a glyph is surrounding whitespace, for very tiny glyphs, for when angle brackets are confusing (such as when the character is itself a bracket). This template is considered preferable to using {{code}} or {{key}} or quotation marks or any brackets other than angle brackets. Usage
