The main part of this screenshot shows various visual elements of the MATE Desktop Environment on the desktop of Ubuntu MATE operating system, which is a derivative of Ubuntu operating system. MATE Desktop Environment consists of free software components licensed under GNU GPL, GNU LGPL or MIT License (see MATE Desktop Environment repository on GitHub) while Ubuntu runs only free software components by default (see Ubuntu Licensing).
